open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

Dear Telemac-Crew,

it is a few days before Christmas and my biggest wish are detailed release notes for the 7.0 with a list of changed subroutine, keywords and so on.

In the last days I was running some old cases (from 6.1 and 6.3) in the 7.0 version (Telemac3D) and I noted small differences in the water levels (approx. 3cm during mean flow conditions) compared with the old results. But there is no information on the homepage what have been modified.

In case of Telemac2d Pablo presented the secondary currents case at the User Club meeting (I got the proceedings from Clemens), but in the release notes it is not mentioned.

When a new release is coming out, I thus have to search in all .dico files and check the most important subroutines in sisyphe by my own.
Therefore, please, please, please add short release notes to the new versions.

Several parts of the documentation are being reviewed and will be released soon. You have some of the keywords changed in the section "what's new" on the home page. This is where the developers should briefly describe what has been changed. Most of the new features are... new, so they should not change old results; After version 6.1, what most often changes the results is the fact that in Telemac-2D the implicitation coefficients given by the user became active in all cases, whereas before they were hardcoded in some options, e.g. with pseudo-wave equation.

I'll ask my colleagues if we could put draft versions of the new documentation in the forum section as an announcement, before putting the final versions in the download or documentation zone.

I enclose a draft version of our release notes 7.0, but it is very technical and does not mention keywords, it is probably not what you expect. It will be inserted in the new principle notes.
