Hello,

I'm a beginning user of Telemac 2D and I want to do my first steps with Matisse. So I read some tutorials in the web and I tried to import xyz points which works well but then I have to digitize manually the boundaries.
How can I import lines for the modelling domain boundaries? I tried some sinusx files from the web but they did not work. Is there somewhere a documentation where I can find the general structure from a sx file?
How does the dxf file importer work?

Sorry, a lot of questions but I would be very grateful for an answer!

Best regards,
Clemens

You could find a description of the SinusX file in the Matisse manual (in appendix)
for the dxf import, there is a bug in Matisse which could be corrected with the following file (unzip in the bin directory of your Telemac installation)

File Attachment:

File Name: cp.zip
File Size: 489

Thank you very much for the immediate answer!
The dxf patch works well! However it seems that from a dxf file I can import only points. How can I import boundaries as lines apart from using sinusx files? I tried to use a sinusx file from the following tutorial but it doesn't work:

hmf.enseeiht.fr/travaux/CD9900/travaux/o...fsfb/construc.htm#II

In the manual I saw a screenshot of an english version of matisse. How can I switch to the english version?

Thanks

For the english version, you just have to run "matisse -a" instead of "matisse"

When you import dxf, did you take care to choose the geom. lines in the bottom menu?

When you tried to import the sinusx file, be sure to select sinusx in the filter option and at the end of the import, press global view.
The sinusx file given as an example on the web site seems to be ok

Hi,

I'm a new user of telemac. I have the same problem with the dxf file. I want to load the contour of a river into matisse. I have the data as a shape file in arcview and I transformed into a dxf file. But matisse gives the error 'unable to import data'.
I've already unzipped the file cp into the bin folder, but this seems to have no effect.
I can import the xyz file but then I get only points without lines and it would take me days to connect them all.
What can I do?

Best regards,

Sven
