Hi,

I am wondering if anyone can provide the telemac community an expert opinion about the possibility of installing TELEMAC in the cloud-based HPC services provided by Amazon or Google.

It will be immensely beneficial for scientists who do not have access to a supercomputer but can gather modest fund to pay for these services and use a supercomputer from anywhere in the world.

Thanks and regards,

Joy

Hello,

We have not yet installed TELEMAC on these servers as preliminary tests seem to indicate that they are not has powefull as dedicated HPC.

We have however established a collaboration for the last two years with OCF, a UK organisation providing rented dedicated HPC services. They were represented at the latest TELEMAC-MASCARET User Conference in Oxford. TELEMAC is installed on the OCF's HPC cluster. OCF has now access to experts of the TELEMAC system and we will support them with every changes and updates to the TELEMAC system.

Once you have an account with OCF, you will be able to run TELEMAC on a rental basis as a function of the number of nodes and the simulation time you use.

Here is the link: http://www.ocf.co.uk/
The service is called the enCore service: http://www.encore-hpc.co.uk/

Here is the person to contact. Jerry Dixon <This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.>

Hope this helps.
