Hi everyone,
Something gone wrong with telemac2d when computing water volume added by sources at each iteration (each time step). This error increases with number of sources. In the attached, you find log files of 5 simulations. These simulations are similar each to other (the same GEo, CLI, LIQUID BOUNDARIES and Fortran files), only the number of source points change from a simulation to annother.
Discharge of sources is constant Qsce(1)=Qsce(2)=...Qsce(n)= 0.2 m3/s whatever t. The time step dt=1s.
The volume added by sources each iteration is Vsce = n * Qsce * dt
Here the results :

SCE number (n) Real Vsce (m3) Vsce (Telemac) Aboslute Error E(m3)
10 2 2.00 0.00
20 4 4.00 0.00
50 10 8.46 1.54
100 20 17.0 3.00
200 40 34.0 6.00
This is realy strange! Any explanation of where does this error come from and why it grows up with number of sources will be appreciated. I've already checked bilan.f and difsou.f : everything seem be ok

Result of simulations are not clear in the previous post. Please find them in the attached files

Hi Mr Courlet, Thank you for your support
I've enclosed 5 simulations in this post. Please find the following folders (zipped) :
SHARED : contains the GEO, CLI, LIQUID BOUNDARIES and FORTRAN files
TEST_10, TEST_20, TEST_50, TEST_100, TEST_200 : these folders contain the CAS file and eventually the SOURCES file.
Before to run simulations, you've to copy/post the content of SHARED in each simulation folder.
Each simulation will be done under a minute, you may then check my results (folder RESULTS.rar) and see the difference between the real and computed volumes added by sources terms.
Greetings

Hi

The problem in the mass balance is related to the porosity you imposed in your model...
If you remove the porosity, you will have the right value (40 m3)

Many thanks Dear Mr Coulet,
Wow, I've just checked it out on my computer... but still it remains strange to me! The simulations I sent to you are juste simple tests. In the real one, I have 11 porous zones where the total loss on the Volume added by sources each iteration varies in time. Is there a tip to keep my porosity file and get the correct volume of sources? or in other term, wether the output of volume added by sources is wrong, does this affects the results (discharges, velocities, water depths, turbulence kinetic energy)?.
Thank you in advance
Mourad
