Hi everyone,
I have to run a T2D model with K-epsilon model. however to buit the initial condition from a costant depth everywere, timestep need to be too small for k-epsilon model.

But as the spatial domail is relatively large (more than 400000 element) and resolution is small ( <7m in some zones), this task could be boring. To save computational time, I actually would do a first run with simple turbulence model (1 rather than 3) and use the result file as a PREVIOUS COMPUTATION for a second run with k-epsilon model to built the initial condition selafin file.
How does this sound to you? is it right?
Any kind of help is welcome

Hello Mourad

This sounds good. Actually to start with a cold start, there is no need for sophisticated features such as k-eps model.
In another hand, I will be happy if you could test the new 2 turbulence models (option 4 and option 5) and have a feedback comparison between them.

with kind regards

Riadh

Thank you Riadh for your support.
I will check the new turbulence models in the next week.
Please is there a clear explanaition about how the CFL is computed in telemac 2d?. I found some indications in the forum but it's still not realy clear for me.
Regards
Mourad
