Hello All,

I am trying to the Baxter example case. The original case with two upstream discharge boundary condition and one rating curve the model works without any problem.

However, when i try to run the model with only one discharge at the upstream of the Baxter river ( i have excluded Tule river discharge ) and the rating curve at the downstream of the river the doesn't seems to be working for both steady and unsteady simulations.

Any suggestions to identify the error

Am attaching the entire folder here.

Thanks in advance

I only briefly checked your steady state model. You could set the initial elevation to a higher elevation say 20, then your model should run. Alternatively you could specify initial depth. I guess for the original tutorial model with initial elevation 15, the other upstream branch does not complain thus the model could run.

Why did you use 5 5 5 for stage-discharge boundary. I would use 5 4 4 and to allow free discharge, which varies with elevation in the rating curve.

What would happen if 555 is used for rating curve. will it change the outflow process at the downstream boundary ?

I am not sure what may happen with 555. I did a quick run with 544 and 555 and the results are different. Someone else can help to clarify?
