Dear all,

We want to simulate coastal inundation induced by strong wind.
I started by using the littoral test case, and then amended it to set up my model.

My mesh needs to be intensively refined close to the shore, so have tried to improve the model convergence, and have decreased the time step.
As it still requires some time to compute, I would like to have your views on how to further improve the convergence.

Please find attached the steering file and the mesh file.

Thanks for your help.

Regards,
Claire

Hello Claire

Your mesh is still small (roughly 20 000 nodes). So you have still a nice margin for refinement.
What you can use also to refine the mesh is the use of a density based on the gradient of the bathymetry. This will automatically refine the steep parts close to the shore line.

I hope that this helps

with my best regards

Riadh
