TELEMAC2D COUPLED WITH SYSPHIE- ERROR WITHOUT INFORMATION 6 years 1 month ago #31679

Hello to everyone,

I'm running a model of a Colombian river. Right now the hydrodynamic modell TELEMAC2D run without errors, however when i coupled it with SISYPHE it gives me an error and i don't know why and it does'nt give me any clue. Any suggestion would be great and very helpfull.
I attached the following files:
-The error code
-My Steering file of Telemac2D

-My Steering file of Sisyphe

I also have tried modifying the steering files of an example called Bifurcation. This example is in the Sisyphe folder and my resultant files are:
-Steering file telemac

-Sterring file Sisyphe

Best regards,
Nicolas

Hello,

Can you go into your working directory and run telemac manually in order to have the full listing please? This will help us to understand where the problem is.

Some hints that can help you:
- you're using finite elements solver for telemac2D (default) and finite volumes one for sisyphe, I don't really know if it's possible...
- try to first run bedload and suspended load separately, before running both
- in coupling mode, not sure about the utility the following keywords: NUMBER OF ITERATIONS FOR TELEMAC, CRITERION TO UPDATE THE FLOW, CONSTANT FLOW DISCHARGE. They are not really suited (as you compute the flow at each time step) and may create conflicts with the coupling procedure
- your critical evolution ratio is really high, you should decrease it, default value of 1 should be ok
- classical range of application of Meyer-Peter formula is d50 = [0.4 − 29]mm, and you're considering d50=65mm
- such large grains should not be transported by suspension

Laurent

Hello Leballeur,

Thank you for your help, i had a problem in the boundary file. NOw i have solved. I also corrected my cas files according with your suggestions. My modell already run, but now there is not sediment transport. However, i'm studying by myself the possible causes.

Best regards,
Nicolas
