Hello,

Ques. (1)
If velocity(V) is known at any node, how can we calculate the discharge,Q(m3/sec)?

Well known formula for calculating the discharge is as follows

Q = A.V

Where
A is the area in (m2)
V is resultant velocity in (m/s)

I would like to know whether "A" stands for the integrated area of elements surrounding that node or not?

Ques. (2)
If the area of elements surrounding a node is huge, will it affect the value of discharge at that node even if
WATER DISCHARGE OF SOURCES at that node is given with value?

Hi

For Q1 you should think about this with Finite Element Theory.
A is the product of H times the finite element basis at the node...

About Q2, the value of discharge is not affected (mass conservation) but the velocity could be...
