Hi

I would also like to define the friction coefficient at each node (constant in time). I understand how to add BOTTOM FRICTION as a variable to my mesh file but I am not sure what to include in the steering file. I presume you keep the LAW OF BOTTOM FRICTION, what else do you need? I don't understand the comment 'activate initial conditions', could you please explain what you write in the steering file to do this, as I thought the key word INITIAL CONDITIONS referred to the initial elevation only.

Thanks

Fay

Hi Fay
It mainly depends if you use Blue Kenue or Fudaa to add the friction coefficient to your geometry file.
If you use BK, you don't have to take care about "activate initial conditions".
Just be sure you well define the "law" and the coefficient will be the one define in the geometry file under the variable "bottom friction"

Hope this helps
Christophe

Hi everybody,

i want to create the BOTTOM FRICTION using BK.
The law of bottom friction is MANNING and i have the values.
How can i set the unit of measure for Manning? It doesn't matter to specify this? It's sufficient to define the law?

Regards.
