Hello,

In TELEMAC-2D, there is a convention for the numbering of boundaries. It always starts from the boundary node which is the "most south-west".

You have several solutions to find the order of numbering of open boundaries:
- read the listing in sequential, you have the numbering + coordinates of limits,
- if you have installed hermes with the TELEMAC system, run:
plot.py mesh2d name_geo_file -b name_bnd_file --liq-bnd
It will then display the mesh + open boundaries and their number + solid boundaries.
Running plot.py mesh2d name_geo_file -b name_bnd_file --bnd
will display the mesh + type of boundaries.

Even if renumbering the mesh, if the extent is not changed (by a rotation e.g.), the order of liquid boundaries will not change even the order is changed in the boundary conditions file.

Hope this helps,

Chi-Tuan

Everything is there !
I didn't know that. I knew about the "most south-west", and for the counter-clockwise identification order. But I thought that the order of the limits, as presented in the CLI, imposed itself on the model.

Thanks for the explanation and the way to check all this.

Have a nice day,

Laurie
