Hello everyone, I would like to ask how to deal with complex embankments when modeling with Telemac. If I follow the manual example and encrypt and interpolate like a river channel, the number of my grids will be very large, so I would like to ask if there are other ways, such as whether it can be processed into a weir and use the weir module? Thank you!

Thank you for your answer. I have read the TELEMAC_2D_Tutorial_Baxter file, but it does not contain detailed information about the settings of the weir module. I would like to ask you which other files I should read?

It is really an unreasonable request, but I would like to ask if you would be inconvenient to provide this information, as the information I can find on the Internet is limited.

The documentation and examples can be found in the TELEMAC installation folder, under the subfolders of the same name. TELEMAC-2D has a "user" (theory), a "reference" (simulation keywords), and a "validation" (examples) manual.
I agree that it is difficult to find the up-to-date documentation if you do not know where to look.
Hope this helps,
André Renault

Great news: The next TELEMAC User Conference will be organised by Bangor University on the 15th and 16th of October 2025, at the School of Ocean Sciences in Menai Bridge, on the Isle of Anglesey, Wale [ ... ]
