TOPIC: Liquid Boundary file

Liquid Boundary file 3 weeks 3 days ago #46213

Good morning,
I have an issue with the model as it seems not to read the liquid boundary file I am using. The simulation doesn’t give any errors, but when testing on a rectangular channel, I notice a sudden emptying of the channel, while I should have a constant flow rate of 50 m³/s, which was assigned through the liquid boundary file.
What could I be doing wrong?

Thank you for your help.

Hi Paola,

First of all, if you want to have a constant flow rate of 50 m³/s, there is no need for a liquid boundary file, since this can just be defined with the keyword "PRESCRIBED FLOWRATES" (as you already have).

Your error might come from defining the outlet elevation to 0. This will simply drain the model. Since you define an initial elevation of 9, it might make sense to also use this for your outlet elevation as boundary condition.

Kind regards
Frederik
