Hi
Maybe you could make a test with the default executable of telemac (without user fortran file to check is something happens).

You just have to comment the keyword FORTRAN FILE.

Maybe you could also try the scalar mode without the job manager.
add a / before PROCESSEURS PARALLELES and just run with telemac2d cas.cas

The result could help us to understand where the problem comes from

Hello,

OK, this backslash in your specific Fortran was a problem in Linux, now you're probably onto something else, but we would need to see the listing you get on screen to know what are the problems you get, does it really stops after writing:

FICHIER DE GEOMETRIE: geo.geo

This would be strange as you had the error message on Strickler.txt before, you should at least see that it is now correctly read.

JMH

Hello,

Thanks a lot for your help.
I think we've founded a part of my problem.

When I did the command 'file *' in my working directory, I discovered that my files were Windows formatted...
I'm sorry, it's a basic error, but I'm not yet used to port codes.

I will try to run telemac now that we solved some problems.

(Sorry for my english)

Best regards

I founded what was going wrong!!

Telemac2d can only run with a number of processors = 2^x with x integer...
On my cluster, there is 12 core by node...

I tried with 8 cores and everything goes right...

Thanks a lot for your help.

Best regards,
Johanne

Hello,

This is certainly not the problem, there is no condition on the number of processors and Telemac has already worked with 12 processors.

Hello,

This message occurs when there is a problem with the installation of perl (e.g. two different perl involved). If you use an a previously installed perl, you need not give the address in the file systel.ini, but in all cases do not forget to run the command cfgmak in the directory where systel.ini is, so that the file cfgmak.mak in the same directory is correctly updated (you can edit it and check paths). Then the path to your directory bin where runtel is must be in the system path, but it seems so as runtel.pl is found.

Hope this helps,

Actually, this is not true anymore (like Jean-Michel just said). You can run TELEMAC with 3 or 5 or 12 "processors" if you like.

However, we strongly recommend that you do not use all 12 cores of a 12-core processors. Multi-cores in general are far from optimised as opposed to multi-processors. Certainly, we would not use more than 8 cores on a 12-core processors. Try with 7 core for instance, it should also work.

Hope this helps.

Sébastien.
