Hello Riadh.
When you run the model on your computer, is the printout being displayed during the simulation?
On mine the printout just stops at the point that I mentioned before, and I get no information about the solver (as with all my other models) or anything. That, and the fact that the files in the cas4960_tmp folder are not increasing in size with time (a couple of hours), suggest that the model is indeed not running.
What parameters did you change to get the model to run? I tried adapting the cas.txt file you sent me yesterday and still got nothing.
Sorry to keep insisting on the same model over and over again.

It is working well on my computer however it takes a lot of time, it takes 2h to simulate 1350 seconds. Maybe that's why you are not able to see something coming at your screen, the case is maybe very big for your computer. so try to check if you have enough memory otherwise change to faster (better) computer.

Just add the following the following lines if you want to see the listing

period for listing output = 100 (for example)
Turbulence model =1

and erase the line
Steering file = cas.

If you want to go faster you need also to simulate your case in parallel, so add:
Parallel processors = 8 (for example)

I think I found the problem. When I reduce the number of islands to less than 300, it works. However, this indicates that the recompilation I did of the whole system with MAXFRO = 500 did not work, i.e., MAXFRO is still 300 even though I changed it and recompiled (makeall90).
Any thoughts on why the recompilation had no effect?

Did you remove the old .exe after you have compiled the whole system?
maybe you are still working with the old one.
As far as I remember, you don't have a fortran file. So there is no automatic generation (by the compiler if you make changes in your fortran file) of the .exe
Therefore, the solution is probably to erase your old .exe (with "rm" command) and it should work.
