Hello,

Did you change also the boundary conditions file that goes with the geometry file ?

Hello,

It looks like you have a very high velocity somewhere, or possibly a dry zone, because 200 sub-iterations for the advection scheme is a lot, you should try to look at your initial conditions and look at velocities and depth.

Hello

I had a look on your BC file and I remarked that you did'nt adapt the tracer part properly. You need t change LITBOR (column 8) to 5 and TBOR (column 9) to the tacer value that you want to prescribe(35 in your case)otherwise you can introduce it in the steering file like you did.

In an other hand, I remarked that you have exclusively prescribed discharges at all your liquid boundaries. Are you satisfied by the hydrodynamical results with such conditions ? Often, we prefere give a prescribed elevation at the outlet of the channel.

With my best regards

Hi

Thank you so much, I made the changes to the boundary conditions. About the liquid boundaries, I was using the discharge because I got that information from some field work they did there. However, I am trying to get a prescribed elevation at the spillway. Actually, the lake has two inflows from two rivers, one uptake and outflow channel from the power plant and one spillway.
So right now the problem I am having is that the outflow from the power plant that I am using is to high therefore the concentrations of the tracer are too high and the advection step is giving me errors. So I am trying to set up a new scenario where I have just few hours of outflow discharge from the power plant.

Thanks again

Viviana
