I don't find an executable like for the V6P1 version of Telemac so my question is how can I install the V6P2 version?
I have already download the file coresponding to my configuration i.e 32bit, for Intel Fortran compiler for parallel mode use

Thank for your help

Hi Marine

You can find a precompiled version of V6P2 here: Home/Compiled codes/COMPILED CODES
www.opentelemac.org/index.php?option=com...&catid=23&Itemid=135
You can chose the parallel option for windows 32 bit and with intel compiler and MPICH2 implementation of MPI2.

With my best regards.

Hi Marine

Try to be a little bit clearer.
You wrote "I don't find an executable like in 6.1" but you download a file for your configuration. Is it a file for 6.2?

You wrote "What I need to do after that" but for what?

Is your problem in the installation? the configuration? the running of simulation?
According to your other post, I suppose you would run parallel simulation.
If so, and if the installation is ok, you could activate the parallelism with the KEYWORD: PARALLEL PROCESSORS.
I'm not sure because i didn't tried the new release yet but it seems it's also possible to run a case in parallel by adding the option "--ncsize" at the launch.

Hope this helps
Christophe

On the front page, under the column 'Use' there is a link to articles on the system installation. This covers in details all the installation steps (try the Python method).

To be clearer, I have downloaded the file corresponding to my configuration in the section download=>compiled codes i.e Windows version of the TELEMAC system, 32bit, for Intel Fortran compiler for use in parallel mode (here with the MPICH2 implementation of the MPI-2 standard)
In this file, there are the different files which can be seen usually but the systel.ini and cfgmak.mak missed so I copied these files from the V6P1 version.
I changed my environment variables to use the V6P2 version instead the V6P1 and I changed V6P1 in V6P2 in systel.ini and cfgmak.mak.
The computation of Telemac (makeall90 and makepar90) was right
But when I launch a simulation, I doesn't work like you can see in the file enclosed
So I don’t understand where I am wrong…

Thank for your help

Best Regards

Marine

Hi
In your simulation, you use the perl launcher for telemac.
As Al wrote it's now advise to use python scripts (that's why systel.ini and cfgmak.mak are not available in the version you downloaded.

Moreover, you have space in your directory name which is totally forbidden for the perl version (i don't know for python)

At least, you downloaded the compile version but you make a compilation (makeall90 and makepar90) which is not really logical.

I think you should retry from the beginning.
Download only the sources and make a full compilation with the python script and the try to run your simulation

Hope this helps

My bad. I didn't realised that only the python script working in V6P2. I always used the Perl script. But it's time to change so I will try
I made some change like the maximum number of outline, etc It is the reason why I made a compilation.

Thank for your help

Hi
Perl shoulb be compatible with the version 6.2 (for the last time) but i didn't try to compile this version with it.
It's easier to manage various configuration (32/64 bits for example) with python so we prefer to use it now.

The changes you made are not problematic. Nevertheless, it's better to start a full compilation directly from the sources rather than use a precompiled version.

Hope you will successfully compile telemac 6.2 with python

I finally succeed the compilation telemac 6.2 with python
But it doesn't works in parrallel like I post in another subject
Anyway, I have another questions :
There are everything in the svn repertory to use V6P2 in Perl script?
When the 64bits version of V6P2 will be available?
