Hi

I was trying to include heat radiation in a 2D model, so after reviewing the equations for heat exchanges that are used in the model, I found that the radiation and evaporation are included in a coefficient A that is dependent on the wind and the air temperature. In subroutine BORD3D, there is a piece of code that includes all this formulation. I have two questions:

If I have a file with the wind velocities in X, Y and the air temperature,is it possible to include this piece of code for a 2D model??

If instead I have the solar radiation as input (sinusoidal curve) to show the variation during the day, how can I include it in the model? (changing the SOURCE subroutine)??

Thanks

Viviana

Hello,

The wind and air pressure is read in subroutine meteo.f, I have recently posted a subroutine that gives an example for reading a file.

Otherwise we never really developed radiation in 2D because temperature effects are rather 3D. In 2D it is treated as a source term, that acts for all points, whereas in 3D it is only a boundary term.

Evaporation is already treated in version 6.2, as a negative rain, however it does not include the temperature aspects.
