Hi,

I am running a simulation where my computational mesh is subdivided into two zones for friction data.
I had given the friction data file as follows

FRICTION DATA FILE

But I get the error while running the simulation as

What could be the reason for the error. The model is forced using tidal constituents from TPXO database.

gourish	Hi, The reason a why I was getting the error was because I had not give the friction coefficient for K-Epsilon model (TURBULENCE MODEL = 3) which I was using in the model I changed the lines to (As stated in telemac user manual.) * * no TypeBo Rbo MdefBo TypeBo Rbo MdefBo Dp sp * 99999104 MANN 0.045 MANN 0.045 99999008 MANN 0.04 MANN 0.04 END in the friction data file, and it worked. Hi JMH,

I have used a wrong terminology for "roughness parameter", actually when I stated "friction coefficient" I meant the "roughness parameter" which should be entered in specific columns of the friction data file, following the bottom law.

The telemac manual states that in case of selection of K-epsilon turbulence model and with the option rough (=> 2), columns 5 to 7 should be used to specify the name of the law, roughness parameter in the FRICTION DATA file.

This also leaves me with a question as what is the reason of specifying separate bottom law and roughness parameter in case of the condition as I have mentioned above (K-epsilon and option rough (=> 2)).
