What does it mean for the simulation to start working and after 2 hours of running the iteration is frozen at time 0000?. I used the same .cas file with the same input parameters for an island free mesh and it worked normally then I added the islands but the simulation stood still not calculating.

Hello,

Try again with a period of listing printout set to 1 to see if you have at least a few steps done, and it is stalled probably because you have infinite velocities somewhere, difficult to say...

JMH

Well I tried that and it did gave me just very few steps and then stalled. It referred to a problem with free velocity somewhere and gave the example of node 1514 which I checked to be on the edge of some island. Hence, I tried to change that island. However, after change, it gave the same message with the same node number which then was some where else inside the mesh and away from any islands.

Hello

This could not be a node of an island with wall boundary conditon, this point is located on a liquid boundary.
I think that your problem comes from your initial conditions: I see that there are a huge flowrate entering into the domain from boundary N1 (with prescribed free surface). This flowrate is huge comparing to the ones prescribed on other boundaries because probably your domain is empty or with very small water depth.
The solution could be the introduction of a better intitial condition (use condim subroutine to start with physical conditions).
I hope that this helps

with my best regards
