Hi everybody,

I am making a T2D model of a river through an urban area. I tried to reach the steady state in order to use it as initial conditions. My problem is that I have oscillations in the river even after 2H40 simulation.

At the upstream boundary condition I tried to impose either a flow rates or a velocity and free surface but in both cases I have oscillations. Also I have negative depth wich is strange. Maybe I do something wrong ?

Note that I initialize u,v and h with fudaa before trying to reah the steady state.

Here is a link to the entire project (Avec_Mur_Sans_Ouvrage.zip) in case it can be usefull:

Thanks for any help

Hi
The project is not available in your post (too large?)
What is the variable and the color scale of your picture?

Fudaa allow you to build a pseudo-initial condition but you could also try to just initialize the free surface and impose the discharge smoothly.

Christophe

Hi, thanks for your answer,

The color scale of the picture is 0.1 m. That is to say I have oscillations of 0.4 m. Also I have negative depth of 0.3m (not visible on this pictures). *

I just tried to use the link toward the fropbox and it works. Maybe it's because I am connected to dropbox. What is the easiest way to share a project ?

Thanks.
