TOPIC: Attach Fortran file error (Nonexistent include directory)

Attach Fortran file error (Nonexistent include directory) 10 years 2 months ago #14266

I am troubleshooting a simulation with drogues (particles). My simplified test case is to take a working simulation and add the fortran file 'flot.f'. flot.f is not modified in any anyway at this point. When I run the simulation I get an error which should be easy to solve. gfortran is called with nonesistent directories because a slash is missing in the directories (before build). My guess was that this is related to the systel.cfg configuration but everything seems in order...

Attached is the terminal output, my systel.cfg file, and the case file.

Any advice is much appreciated!
Simon

In your systel.cfg remove the / at the end of /home/sschaad/opentelemac_v6p3/

It should solve the problem.

Hope it helps.

Adding or removing the slash at the end of the root directory did not fix or change the error...

Thank you very much for your help! Do you have any other advice?

The error stems from the gfortran command. I tried to modify the gfortran command in systel.cfg (line cmd_obj), but this is not the command giving me troubles. Does anyone know where this command is located? I need to inspect it and see why the directory names are missing the slash.

Thanks!

I have tracked down the line of code giving me trouble in the runcode.py script. Please bare with me, I have no prior experience with python.

On line 900 in runcode.py we have
processExecutable(useFile,objFile,f90File,objCmd,exeCmd,options.bypass)

One of these options has an error in the directory (missing slash). Anyone know how I might fix this problem?

Thank you!

You should remove the slash at the end of your root in your config file: /home/sschaad/opentelemac_v6p3

Hope this helps,
Sébastien

Thank you Sébastien, Yugi suggested this too. Removing the slash at the end of the root directory in the systel.cfg did not fix the error.

I tried tracking down the error in the runcode.py script, please see above. Your help is much appreciated!

I got a similar problem...

After removing the slash you need to recompile and it worked fine for me "ubuntu 14.04"

I was able to get the code running on another machine. I still do not know what is wrong on the original computer. It must have to do with the installation of T2D.

Other users, please beware that there is a mistake in the above attached case file. This is unrelated to this thread, but I don't want to mislead anyone! This is relevant for version 6.3, not previous versions.

In the case file 'Drogues_00.cas' the drogues output file should be specified with 'DROGUES FILE' instead of 'BINARY RESULTS FILE'. See www.opentelemac.org/index.php/kunena/16-...processing-particles
