Hi Gio,
As far as I understand you have now extracted the h,u and v data from TPXO
tidal extraction program, and now you want to force the extracted data on the boundary, is it correct as what I have understood?
If that is the case, then I think the TPXO module in Telemac does just the same process internally, by extracting the tide and velocities to be forced at the boundary. Subsequently, I would rather advice you to use the TPXO data, to run the model with TPXO forcing, and try to get the simulation correct. There are calibration parameter, COEFFICIENT TO CALIBRATE TIDAL RANGE, COEFFICIENT TO CALIBRATE TIDAL VELOCITIES, COEFFICIENT TO CALIBRATE SEA LEVEL, which you can modify.
Apparently if you simulation region lies in the area where TPXO data is not properly resolved then you may run a model with large area covering the TPXO grid region (you can visualize the TPXO grid from the site, for example
volkov.oce.orst.edu/tides/IO.html), and then extract the tide and current for a smaller region model at the boundaries. However it is a bit more difficult process.
May I know as what difficult you are facing in running the simulation with TPXO data, possibly we can help you in solving the problem.
With best regards,
Gourish
