The problem should be coming from No.2. I have been setting the model based on the time I wanted the oil spill to kick in rather than the on the "number of timestep". I will try modify that.

Hello,

I am running an oil spill simulation with TELEMAC and I would like to ignore the soluble components as I am not considering dissolution in my spill. Secondly, I do not have PAH data for the oil.

Is there a way I can set it to null and ignore tracers without having an error?

Chijioke, based on the review of subroutine oil_spill_2d, even if you set the # of soluble components to zero, the program will still allocate array size 1 for related variables. So it may not matter whether you set the number to zero or one (check result difference to confirm).

However, you can setup the Fraction Mass to zero for the soluble component. That way, no tracer should be present. Also check the total oil mass to confirm that none is lost into water.

Hello Hailiang,

I tried your recommendation using the estu_fir_3D example. I set the parameters for the soluble component to zero. No tracer was present in the result.

Also, the total oil mass remained the same; none was lost into water.
