open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

Hi,everyone
I have velocity field and depth data of different time step, and I have to use these data to solve the equation ∂T/∂t + U▽(T)=▽[K▽(T)] in the same time. I want to use telemac2d to solve the tracer conservation equation without working with hydrodynamic program.

So I try to modify the telemac2d.f, and comment the hydrodynamics computation and keep only tracer handling (everywhere it is written if(ntrac.gt.0). In addition, I have add
DIFFUSION OF VELOCITY =false
ADVECTION OF U AND V =false
ADVECTION OF K AND EPSILON =false
ADVECTION OF H =false
PROPAGATION =false in the steering file. But it can not run.
Can anybody help me? Is there any cases like mine?

Hello,

Did you try to inspire from the example called "cone" ? This case does the advection of tracers with steady state given in the subroutine condin.f, without recomputing the hydrodynamics. You could use the modified subroutine propag.f of this example to give your hydrodynamic conditions. The only theoretical problem is that the depth and velocity you give must correspond to a continuity equation, this is not fully guaranteed if there is an interpolation in time of your data. This may cause losses of mass or of monotonicity. This is why what you plan to do is not so simple.

I have aeked the same question before, and you adviced me to refer to the example"cone", but I have some questions about this example.
The "cone" gives velocity in the soubroutine condin.f, but it just gives the initial conditions, is it right? And where can I download the examples of version 7.0 ?

Yes, it needs username and password.Can I use username: ot-svn-public / password: telemac1* ?
I found only the V6p3r2, I cannot find the version 7.0.
