I have an error when running partel. Here is the error I get in the partel_T2DGEO.log :

BEGIN PARTITIONING WITH METIS
ERROR: TRY TO RUN PARTEL WITH A SERIAL CONFIGURATION

PLANTE: PROGRAM STOPPED AFTER AN ERROR
RETURNING EXIT CODE: 0

And I don't understand why the message relates to a serial configuration as I compiled Telemac with the susgfortranopenmpi configuration.

Can you help me ?

It looks like you didn't have the directive -DHAVE_MPI in your config file.

The message is in partitioner.F

Try to make a compileTELEMAC.py -m "clean partel"...

Fine! Looks like this is it ! I added the directive -DHAVE_MPI in my config file and then I compiled with the option -m "clean_partel". Now the partel_T2DGEO.log file indicates a normal termination of partel :)

I have still a question : was that directive allready used in the previous versions of Telemac ? In the v6p2 version I didn't use this directive and I don't remember having any problem with partel.

Hum, so now I have a problem with gretel at the end of the run, here the message I get in the gretel_T2DRES.log file :

Sorry ! It's true that I didn't give much details.

It looks like the run ended normally because I have the following message : "FIN NORMALE DU PROGRAMME". But after this message and the habitual message about the duration of the run I have the following message from the python routines :

runCAS: I could not copy the output files back from the temporary directory:

and I also have the gretel error message I mentionned in my previous post. I hope I gave enough information this time.

strange because it seems you're running with different number of partitions
PE00003 indicate 4 processors
T2DRES00007 gives 8 processors

have a look into the temp directory and maybe give a listing of it...

Hi Sébastien

If there is no other files in the temp directory, this probably means you have a problem during the run.
There is no T2DRESxxx, no PExxx.log
As they are maybe deleted by the program at the end, try to run the case gain with -w TEMPDIR and -s to have all the outputs
