Hello everybody,

I'm working on a configuration with non erodible bed everywhere, except on few locations where I initialised small piles of sediments.

I would like to know if there is a way to compute the effective solid transport (by post-processing or directly within the code) ?
I mean by "effective" solid transport, the transport that takes into account the availability of sediment on the bottom and used for the resolution of the conservation equation.

Best regards,

Hello,
Unless I'm wrong with the exact definition of "effective" solid transport, the code computes this value that can be taken as an output variable. Please refer to the keyword VARIABLES FOR GRAPHIC PRINTOUTS, with flags:

M="bed-load discharge (m2/s)";
N="bed-load discharge along x axis (m2/s)";
P="bed-load discharge along y axis (m2/s)";

Cheers,

Pablo

Unless I am mistaken, the variables you suggest me to look at correspond to the full capacity of solid transport, under given hydrodynamic conditions and for a sufficient among of sediment on the bottom.
For instance, these variables you mentioned are not null on non-erodible nodes.

Whereas the transport I would like to compute should be null for non-erodible areas and elsewhere limited by the quantity of available sediment on the bottom (if not enough).

Sincerely,
Laurent
