Hello

My mesh is 2m wide and 30m long. Edge length_Mesh is between 0.004m and 0.181m, Velocity is about 0.78m / s.

I calibrate my model based on comparison with measurement data. The Paramter for Deviation, however, leads to a significant change in the results.

Can someone help me, how can I adjust this parameter exactly?

Sis_Steering:
BED-LOAD TRANSPORT FORMULA = 3
FORMULA FOR SLOPE EFFECT = 1
FORMULA FOR DEVIATION = 2
PARAMETER FOR DEVIATION = 0.85 - 3

thanks
Rima

Hallo Rima,
Morphodynamics results can be greatly affected by the deflection of sediment transport on transverse bed slopes due to gravity (and also by secondary flows).
A close answer for your question is not simple, as the choice of this calibration coefficient strongly depend on your case. The original paper of Talmon et al. proposed, based on the experimental data, a value of b2=0.85 but we've found that this value can be 2 or 3 times larger.
In the end, you should try to find an optimal result that won't be improved beyond the mentioned limit.
Please take a look to the latest version of the Sisyphe's manual for further details about the implemented models accounting for bed slope effects.
I hope it helps,

Best wishes,

Pablo
