Hello, I'm working on a hydro-sedimentary model with several inputs and an output at sea. I ran a first hydraulic calculation only with Telemac and everything is ok. I want to study solid transport, so I imposed a time dependent solid discharges on each of my inputs with a liquid border file. I have also created a boundary conditions file with the following settings for the inputs: 4 5 5 1.0 ... 4.
The problem is that the simulation stops after 3600 secondes with the following message:

DISIMP : PROBLEME SUR LA FRONTIERE 9
DONNER UN PROFIL DE DEBIT SOLIDE
DANS LE FICHIER DES CONDITIONS AUX LIMITES

PLANTE : ARRET DU PROGRAMME APRES ERREUR
RETURNING EXIT CODE: 2

I have never encountered this error before, do you know how to fix it?

Thanks,
Best regards,
Claire

Hello Claire,
did you check the situation at boundary 9? Run the case just before the breakdown with some output so you can understand what happens at boundary 9. I guess that your solid input is too big and you get sedimentation near the open boundary which disturb your boundary conditions.

Rebekka

Hi Claire,
Following Rebekka's suggestions, take also a look to the hydrodynamics field in the computational domain. That would indicate where the problem is.
Best wishes,
Pablo

Hello Rebekka and Pablo,

There doesn't seem to be any problem with the hydraulics.

The simulation stop when my solid discharge begins at boundary 9.
I begin with 0.01 m3/s and i increase this value until 1.5 m3/s. If I remove the first values (so I start at 0.05 m3/s) it works !
Is it because the solid discharge is too low and the software doesn't manage to distribute it on the meshes of solid inputs ? Some of my other boundaries start with 0.01 m3/s over a larger number of meshes so I'm not sure of my hypothesis .

Best regards,
Claire

Hello, i have the same problem and i can't fix it.
Could someone tell me what is wrong in my attached files, please?
Thank you!

Dear Mathieu,

actually I am not fully sure. But here come 2 ideas:
The error message indicates that you might need to set a value (1.0) in the 4th column of the boundary file (cli) for the inflow boundary. It should be look like 4 5 5 1.0 0.0 0.0 0.0 4 0.0 0.0 0.0 xx xx
Another point could be kg/s instead of m2/s, as now gaia is in masses instead of volumes.

Best regards,
Rebekka

Thank you very much :cheer:
So the 4th column of the .cli file must be set with the value 1.0 for boundary nodes, although sediment discharge is not constant and is specified in the .liq file!

Best regards!
