Hello everyone,
I make a coupling between the three models Tomawac-Telemac2d-Sisyphe, it works very well. Now I want to make a coupling between tomawac-Telemac2d-Gaia, I don't know why it doesn't give results, could you or someone to check me the base file. cas of Gaia?
Thank you very much;

What you mean it doesn't give results? no results file created? or all zeros? on =ly 1 timestep.

please explain your problem clearly.

Patrick

Hello Patrick ,thank you for your quick answer,
For the coupling tomawac telemac2d Sisyphe, I made the calculation of currents and sediment transport, with no problem.
Now I want to do the same calculation, but a coupling between the tomawac telemac2d and Gaia.
I have run the model but I can't find any results of sediment transport, knowing that when I make the coupling between tomawac and telemac 2d it makes the calculation of currents.
I don't know where the problem is for the tomawac -telemac2d-Gaia model?
Thanks

Hello,

in Gaia the sediment concentrations are stored in the telemac2d results file and not in the gaia results file. Because the sediment transport is calculated by telemac2d. This sometimes causes trouble.

But you have only bed load and no suspension (suspension for all sands=NO) even if you have several keywords for suspension in your cas file. And CS1 would be missing in the "variables for graphic printouts". And I wonder if 0.06 mm sediment is still bedload only and non cohesive.

In your configuration now you should see solid discharge results in your gaia result file. If everythins is equal to zero mostly there is something with the initial or boundary conditions. So you should check if the hydrodynamics and the sediments at the initial state and at the inflow and outflow are as you expected.

Best regards,
Rebekka

Hello Rebekka,
I thank you very much for these relevant recommendations;
In fact, in my tomawac model (mesh in attachment), I have the three boundaries open to the sea (5 4 4 5).
for telemac2d, the two lateral sides are open (5 4 4 4).
Could you please give me your opinion on these boundary conditions, and an explanation of how I will make the boundary conditions for the Gaia (at the entrance I made 455 5 and at the exit 455 5)?

With my thanks
cordially:
Hocine

Hello Hocine,

I am dealing with river applications and I am not an expert for coastal applications. In rivers we use the following boundary conditions in gaia for bedload only. But I guess these might not be your solution:

Inlet Gaia equilibrium (zero bottom evolution, QS accordingly):
4 4 5 0.0 0.0 0.0 0.0 5
Inlet Gaia QS determination (you have to set prescribed solid discharge):
4 5 5 1.0 0.0 0.0 0.0 4
Outlet Gaia :
5 4 4 0.0 0.0 0.0 0.0 4

There is a validation test case t2d-tomawac-gaia called littoral where you can have a look as well as in the user manual of gaia.

Best regards,
Rebekka

Hello Rebekka;
Thank you very much for your collaboration;
I will see with example Littoral of model Gaia;
With my thanks
Sincerely;
