Hello,

I'm running a sediment transport model. In the steering file, I use the key word

INITIAL SUSPENSION CONCENTRATIONS = 1.0;1.0

to initialize the concentration. But in the initial results of sisyphe (at time 0), the concentration is still zero everywhere. I checked the code, the initial concentration CS0 (1.0 for both sediment classes) has been read into the program but certainly there is something going wrong. Does anyone experience this problem?

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

Two remarks: 1. The value of initial concentrations should be less than 0.1
since concentration are volume concentrations. This is true even if you are using keyword 'MASS CONCENTRATION' which means that the output will be in KG/m3
2. If this keyword is not taken into account, this is probably because something else is applied instead. For example, if you also use the keyword equilibrium concentrations, then concentrations (initial as well as along the boundary nodes) will be calculated by the model.

Hope this helps, Cath

Thanks a lot Cath!
I changed the initial value and cancelled the keyword equilibrium inflow concentration. Then it's working now!

Best regards,
