Cyril,

Your case runs well on my computer with v7p2r1. I attach the slight modifications I did and a picture of the results at T=13min.

But several points are not handled correctly:

1- You're opening your wave data file on a channel unit that may already be reserved for other files. Moreover, no need to open it as there already is a dedicated channel unit NFO1 for the "formatted file 1".

2- Your frequency discretisation is not appropriate, as you ask for 12 frequencies between 6s and 20s whereas you want to prescribe 5s...

3- The directional spreading is very very narrow. You should keep the default value of 2

4- You turned off the consideration of source terms. It's not really suitable.

Please take the time to carefully read the user documentation and other related topics on the forum.

Thank you Laurent for the time you took.
My directional spreading comes from some data analysis …

Anyway, I've modified my .txt file and change the frequencies. Every 100seconds (every 10 time step) I put a new wave with the same direction/spread but with a different significant wave height. Unfortunately, I don't see it when I use BlueKenue to animate my results.
Do you know why ?

Regards,
Cyril

The directional spreading you set (22) is really not physical and the according spectra can not contain all the desired energy with this parameter. Maybe the parameter you calibrated from your data analysis is not the same than the one requested by Tomawac.

I'm speaking about the frequencies of the spectra, not the ones related to the time of your simulation.

The simulation should work well with the files I uploaded in the previous post. Try with them !

Hi,
In the files you have uploaded, the lines concerning the initial/boundary conditions are not commented. Is it on purpose ?

Cyril

Hi,

The initial conditions are those prescribed in your steering file. If you comment it, your initial conditions will be default values, ie 0 (no energy).

Some of your boundary conditions mentioned in your steering file will be overwritten in the limwac subroutine (Hs, Tp, dir). The other ones are used to build the spectra (spreading, peak factor..). If you comment it, default values will be used to build the boundary spectra.

Laurent
