I ran a simulation in TOMAWAC taking into account of depth-induced breaking, but it seems it didn't work properly, because with water depth of 2-3 m (near the coast at the center of the model) I get a wave height of 11 m or so (maybe due to refraction and shoaling). I used default values for depth-induced breaking parameters. I considered also whitecapping and bottom friction

Does someone knows where is the error?

Thank you very much

PS. results are in the file "risultati130-130-1.slf"

Hello,

To take into account depth-induced breaking and bottom friction effects, you must consider the source terms in your simulation (CONSIDERATION OF SOURCE TERMS = YES). And then you can play with the different available parametrisations.

Maybe, you can also increase your number of frequencies, decrease the maximum ratio Hs/D. Your initial and boundary type of directional spectrum is not the same also.

I hope this helps!

Laurent
