Hi all,

I have v8p0r0 installed and when checking the sources folder, I found that Limwac.f is dated back to v7p3 release. Does that mean that Limwac v7p3 is compatible with v8p0 release ?How can I obtain the latest version of Limwac.f -or the right one for v8p0r0?

Cheers,
Nayef

Hello

when routines are updated people always forget to upgrade the number of version in the file so you shouldn't pay attention on this.

In that specific case yes limwac V7P3 is compatible with V8P0, but the only important date is the one off the tag of the version. so if you use v8p0r0 all the files provided are of that version.

Another point. I invite you to use V8P3, some bugs are regularly corrected, so the newest version you use the less problems you will encounter.

kind regards

Hi again,

I have upgraded to the latest version (v8p3) but that still did not solve my problem-as I thought it would. Basically, I get patches where data is not being picked up in my domain, when trying to impose spectra using limwac (considering I am using the latest limwac interface) Any idea what might be the reason behind this?

Cheers,
Nayef

Hello

You haven't updated your user fortran limwac you have to start you user fortran from the limwac routine of v8p3. Your user fortran has 48 arguments when the limwac of V8P3 has 10 arguments (the call of the routine has been simplified).

kind regards.

Hi,

Sorry I sent the wrong subroutine by my mistake. However, now running the right limwac I get the error attached when calling SPEJON and FSPRD1, hope you can help with this.

Many thanks,
Nayef

You're not calling SPEJON with the right order/number of variables:
LIMWAC.f: line 307:
CALL SPEJON
&( SPEC , FREQ , NF , COEF , FPICL, GAMMAL , SIGMAL, SIGMBL,
& DEUPI , GRAVIT, E2FMIN, FPMIN )

SPEJON.f

! *****************
SUBROUTINE SPEJON
! *****************
!
&( SPEC , NF , AL , FP , GAMMA , SIGMAA, SIGMAB,
& FPMIN )
