In example cases INITIAL/BOUNDARY PEAK FACTOR are generally = 3.3 or 1 why is it so?
note:
I see the equation of the E(f) the variance density spectrum."PEAK FACTOR" variable is parameterized value but I don't know what it is linked to or which value should I put in my steering files.
thanks for your help

INITIAL/BOUNDARY PEAK FACTOR

PEAK FACTOR allows you to have specify how narrow your spectrum is around your peak frequency so it does not really correspond to something. It is just that with 3.3, people consider that their Jonswap looks like a representative spectrum.
Hope it helps.
