hi every body,

when I run my tomawac simulation, results such as wave height , mean direction ...

File Attachment:

File Name: RTOM_72H_sant6.slf
File Size: 1,968 KB

tend to decrease from top to lowest values (0 or close to).

when I add transfer terms (triads and quadruplets) same things even if it tends to stabilize around low values at the end of the simulation

File Attachment:

File Name: RTM_72H_triquadt2.slf
File Size: 1,968 KB

, too low to represent the reality (real value of wave height around 1.5m).

you can find my steering, geometry and boundary condition files attached.

thanks for your help

Hello

in your cli file for the points you comment as wave input you put 1 1 1 as your boundary condition which means absorbing boundary (all boundary that does not start by a 5 is considered as absorbing). Be careful boundary condition in Tomawac are not the same as telemac.
if it is 5 ? ? it is an imposed wave height ( ? can be anything it is not taken into account)
Starting by anything else it is absorbing.
In the next version (or in the trunk) you can start with 8 which will mean reflexion.

That is why you energy is decreasing.

Hope i am clear

Hi Tfouquet,

Your advice has been great (no decrease), even if the values are like "stationary", I think it's because I use a constant wind. Also I have to better use "the type of initial/boundary directional spectrum".

To Sum all of that, Thanks.

Hi Tfouquet,

I know you are pretty busy developping the software (thx for that) but could it be possible to have the wave direction in arrows ( arrow /+ surfaces) also, rather than in surface only. It'd be great.
