Hi


I am modifying the waves at the boundary via a modified Limwac. This works for very short runs with a low number of wave changes at the boundary. However after a certain number of wave timesteps there are strange things happening in the wave heights within the model where there are fluctuations in the wave height where it drops to nearly zero. On longer model runs (longer than the attached) the fluctuations happen randomly and often. The modified Limwac only runs with a TMA spectrum (Does not work for Jonswap spectrum in latest telemac version). I ran a different limwac for an earlier version of telemac v6.2 and used a jonswap spectrum. However the instabilities are still there. In wave results, green line is wave height at the boundary, red is wave height at a point in the model, not far from boundary. I have tried just about everything i can think of with no luck. Any advice would be fantastic. Many thanks.

Hi

Found the mistake, was not instability. When running this limwac mod the directions in the file for the wave directions at the boundary are TETAIL, TETAIL = Dir*(PI/180). This works now but only for TMA spectrum in latest telemac release (V8P4).
