Good Day!

I am having problem in using tomawac V6P1. Previously, I am using tomawac V5P9 in computing wave height in my project area, however, when I try to use tomawac V6P1, I found that the wave height computed are unreasonable. I know that there are something different in .cas file when i change from tomawac v5p9 to v6p1 (keyword for FREQUENCE MOYENNE INITIALE in version v5p9 is not readable by v6p1). Here I attach my .cas file for V5P9 and V6P1.

File Attachment:

File Name: V5P9.cas
File Size: 3 KB

TM8.cli
TM8.geo

Thanks for the help.

Hello,

In your V5P9 model, you use the steady parameterized mode, which is not anymore available in V6P1 (the only mode available is the third generation mode). So, check that all the keywords you are using are still valid and are used properly in the V6P1 (you can refer to the TOMAWAC guide).

You should also modify the FREQUENCE MINIMALE f0 : it is not equal to the mean frequency, but it defines the minimal frequency (in Hz). The discretised frequencies of the spectrum are then computed from the FREQUENTIAL RATIO r and the NUMBER OF FREQUENCIES NF by the relation
f=f0*r^(k-1) k=1,NF.

Hope it helps,

Giovanni
