when i use the two keyword "global result file" and "global output at the end" in order to generate the global resut file the file is not generated and the attached error appear.
the error concern logical unit 4 while the global result file should be logical unit 28 so the read statment generate an error

I do not have the answer but the unit 4 mentioned in the listing is in program gretel, so it may be a different number. So the problem is "just" that file corresponding to "GLOBAL RESULT FILE" is not understood by the program that regroups the pieces stemming from every sub-domain. If the Tomawac dictionary is correct, this file should be in Selafin format. I'll ask my colleagues to look at this.

according to TOMAWAC 6.1 manual page 131, the GLOBAL RESULT FILE is a binaray TOMAWAC-formatted file "not selafin". while in the dictionary it is defined as selafin.

you are right, the GLOBAL RESULT FILE is not written in Selafin format, but actually, the creation of this file seems to work on my computer.

More importantly : why do you need to create this file : do you need to realise a next computation? Unfortunately, the next computation option does not work at the moment for TOMAWAC. We will try to solve this problem as soon as possible.

hello,

i make a storm surge simulation including wave setup for about 10 years over the north sea between 1990 and 2000. so it is better to make the simulation year by year because the water level and current file generated by telemac2d is 40 Gb for each year also the wind data file for each year is about 4 Gb.
for this reason to take the simulation of the 10 years combined by a single file for wind or current will be diffcult to handel the final size and reading time. for that the best solution is to use global result file and next computation options on yealy basis.

for the generation of the global result file in "parallel mode" each processor produce the file for each subdomain but the combination of these files produce the error. i tried to generate the global result file in single processor of validation case and worked but not worked for parallel.
