In deepwater, mathematical models of order greater than 1 provide an elevation of mean water level due to waves. This elevation represents several centimeters : stokes wave, order 2 in infinite depth : (PI.H²)/(4.L).
Can we highlight this component with a coupled model tlemac2d/tomawac ?
Regards.

Merci d'avance.

Hello,

I don't think these effects are taken into account with a coupled Telemac2D-Tomawac model in infinite depth.

However, in the surf zone, the wave set-up is taken into account : Tomawac calculates the radiation stresses and transfer the wave driving forces to Telemac-2D.

Best regards,

Elodie
