open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

Hello everyone,

I'm a new user. I've been working with TELEMAC 2D and 3D the last months and now I'm starting to use TOMAWAC.

I started with some simple simulations that work well with the serial version, but when I try to run in parallel mode I have the error listed below.

It seems that after one processor have opened the file WACLEO, others proccesors can't acces to it.

Has anyone had a similar problem?

Up to version 6.1 this feature does not work in parallel and from version 6.2 on only the processor 0 writes in this file, but all processors open it, then the system (Windows ?) must be configured to allow a concurrent opening of files (it seems to me but other colleagues know much more about it, and what to do exactly...).

Thanks for your quick answers. I should have described the configuration:
- Machine running Windows 7 - core i7
- MPICH 2 (mpich2-1.4.1p1-win-x86-64)
- TOMAWAC version 6.3

I'm trying to see if I can change something about the concurrent opening of files in Windows as JMH suggested.

The punctual results file is mandatory, am I right?

Actually this file is described as mandatory in the directory (OBLIG in line 3738), but I do not think it is, it could be as well set to FACUL if you do not want local spectra.

Thanks for your answer. I changed the line which says OBLIG to FACUL and remove the keyword from the case file but the problem persist. Probably I need to do more than that to "avoid" the WACLEO file.

Meanwhile I have lot to do in order to implement the boundary conditions so, in parallel, I will see if I can run in parallel :)
