Hi,
Im getting a little confused with prescribing wave direction in TOMAWAC.
If i set BOUNDARY MAIN DIRECTION 1 = 45 will this simulate waves FROM the north east? it has been suggested to me that this will infact simulate waves FROM the north west as it is in degrees anticlockwise from north.
Can someone clarify this for me?
cheers

Hi,
As written in the Tomawac user manual, the direction in Tomawac is the wave propagation direction : the direction in which the waves travel.
The wave propagation directions are defined with respect to the North
in the clockwise direction.
So if you set a direction equal to 45°, it means that waves will come from South West and propagate to the North East.

Elodie
