Hello

Seeing what is written, it seems that the fortran file you refer doesn't exist : try to check in both of your steering file that the files you are refering are at the correct place especially in the telemac2d steering file.

Hope it helps

T.

Hello,

If you are using custom fortran routines for Tomawac, bear in mind that when you couple with Telemac2D, then you need specify all fortran subroutines in Telemac2D cas file only.

Costas

After talking to yugi about your case, I discovered that there is a known bug that is going to be fixed.
If you have a Fortran user for telemac2D and not any for tomawac then the program will say it didn't find the telemac2d fortran user.

The solution for you before we solve that bug is to put an empty user fortran file in your telemac2D steering file.

What Costas proposes is another solution to avoid that problem. But normally, telemac would merge the 2 user fortran routines if you have one in tomawac and one in telemac2d.

Thanks for prompt reply.

As per Costas suggestion, I added fortran file(for tomawac) in telemac2d cas and it is found that only tomawac is running and telemac2d is not running and coupling is not taking place.

So may be that the problem is elsewhere. could you send us your full case so that we try to understand what's happening.

As for my last message i discovered that i made an error, the known bug is when you don't have a user fortran file for the telemac part but have a user fortran file for the tomawac part

Hello,

i'm trying to run the simulation of wave with coupled telemac-2d and tomawac model, but i get inconsistent results of Hm0. Wind data is read as FORTRANT file.
please find attached the image (simulation duration =14 days).
I think it is only the defined initial condition that are taken into account.
I set different times steps (50s, 100s). but, for the time step 50s and 100s the model gives the same results. (i'm waiting for the simulation with 1800s time step.)
I attached also the case files.

Do you have any idea what could be the reason?
Please i need your help!

best regards

Hello,
I read your steering file and there is no "wind file" even if there is a "wind file format", so i guess there is no energy coming from wind as you don't have any wind velocity either.
As you don't have any boundary condition either there is no energy coming from boundary. So it is only your initial energy that is going away.

Hope it helps.

As for answering, don't forget that people answering on the forum are doing it on their personnal time and in august they might also be gone on holidays.
