How can I do that? When I installed Telemac automatically, so I think I have not known how to do that? Please instruct me.

Thanks & Best Regards

From the internet:

When running in mpi mode, mpiexec will ask for user credentials each time a job should start. It is possible to include your credentials in the registry such that mpich can automatically find them. To do so open a command prompt window and perform the following steps:
  • Type “smpd -install“
  • Type “mpiexec -remove“ to remove all user information that is available (just to clean up)
  • Type “mpiexec -register“ to register your credentials. The command prompt will now ask for your username and password. It is important that you enter the same user/pass that is used to logon to the system.
  • Type “mpiexec -validate“ to validate the specified configuration (it should return SUCCESS).
  • Type “smpd -status“ to verify whether the smpd process needed to run mpi jobs is running (it should return 'smpd running on <hostname>').

Costas

Hi Costas,

I met the same problem about the parallel mode. And I following your suggestions
1.Type “smpd -install“
2.Type “mpiexec -remove“
3.Type “mpiexec -register“
4.Type “mpiexec -validate“
5.Type “smpd -status“
But I failed in step "4" (attached please find mpiexec_error.png)

And I ran this model (C:\opentelemac-mascaret\v7p0\examples\telemac3d\stratification) in a parallel mode, it failed with the run_error.png

With best regards,
Liwei

-Type “smpd -install“
-Type “mpiexec -remove“

Hello Huy,

Everything is fine here, but I couldn't say the same for you. That error wasn't what I expected. Do you have an intel compiler installation on your PC? It includes another version of mpiexec that could be the problem.
You can try to put the full path to the MPICH2 mpiexec.exe command in your systel.cfg like this:
mpi_cmdexec: C:\opentelemac-mascaret\MPICH2\bin\mpiexec.exe

Costas
