open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

Hello friends,

I tried to find some information on the compatibility of Telemac and Microsoft MPI and couldn't find much.

A problem on my side concerning this topic is that I'm quite new to both Telemac as well as Microsoft MPI. Still researching a lot of stuff and learning each day.

I read that Telemac is often used with MPICH2, which has only been supported up to version 1.4.1p1 which released in 2013 (as far as the info that I read on that is correct). Does this imply that Windows users of Telemac use MS-MPI for their parallel tasks or do I get this completely wrong?

My question ultimately is: Does TELEMAC function with Microsoft MPI or even any MPI implementation or do I have to use MPICH?

I'm sorry, I know this question is probably more related to MPI than to Telemac, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Telemac should work with any implementation of MPI.

I am using MS-MPI with TELEMAC for at least 5 years, so there isn't any compatibility problem. There are some technicalities that need paying attention to, but are more related to the choice of compiler.

Seeing that you've been using the parallel version of TELEMAC-2D. I'm just starting to learn the parallel version of TELEMAC-2D. How should the parallel version be installed and used on Windows.I do not know if there is a parallel version of the installation and use cases for reference.
