What do you mean "the appropriate cpu architecture"?
I installed and compiled telemac following the steps provided by this forum.

I noticed the '-O2 -march=nocona -mtune=core2' in the text output you provided, but that wasn't coming from your cfg file. It was the flag used to compile your GCC version I suppose. So ignore that.

Hi Costas,

It seems that the problem comes from smpd because when I tried the command:
smpd -install, it gave the following error
OpenSCManager failed:
Access is denied. (error 5)
Unable to remove the previous installation, install failed.
As said Sebourban in another post :
"smpd -install should not fail. If the service is already running it would just restart the service as opposed to installing it for the first time. It looks like you do not have access to smpd / MPI with your user name."

Do you think it is necessary to reinstall the mpi?
I will try to reinstall it and keep you updated tomorrow .

Hi Costas,

After reinstalling mpich2 manually using the administrator right, telemac works.
Thanks a lot for your time.

Have a nice day,

Hi here is the error compiling message I get :

C:\opentelemac-mascaret\v8p0\sources\api\example_cpl_t2d_sis.f:15: Error: Can't open included file 'mpif.h'

I've started installing opentelemacmascaret-5.2-windows-installer.exe. For some reason (?) I had to reinstall SVN (TortoiseSVN-1.14.0.28885-x64-svn-1.14.0.msi) and gfortran (mingw-w64-install.exe) , modify the cfg by erasing "Dredgesim" and adding -cpp to the command lines to get through with the single processor installation.

Since I got the upper mentioned error message, re-installed mpich2 (mpich2-1.4.1p1-win-x86-64.msi ... in the C:\opentelemac-mascaret\mpich2 folder ! ) I've modified the cfg file as done with the single processor compiling commands, I've even added the mpif.h location in systel-all.ini file as done in the Attached documents ...

Any clues of how to get beyond this stage ?

I've Modified calls to 'mpif.h' in the fortran files by including the path to the mpif.h file ... seems to be doing the job ...

BUT !

I now get this new error message : C:\opentelemac-mascaret\v8p0\builds\wing64mpi\lib\partel4api.lib(c_binding.o):c_binding.F:(.text+0x6a): undefined reference to `METIS_PartMeshDual'

Although (again) the line :
libs_partel: C:\opentelemac-mascaret\metis\lib\libmetis.a
is correct in cfg file ...

Is there a problem in the given initial cfg file which oesn't seem to take consideration of the "include lines" nor the "libraries lines" ?

Thanks for your help !!
