Christophe,

Thanks a lot for your quick reply.
Same issue using the full manually command. Should I install an other version of MPICH2? Mine is 1.4.1p1.

Hi
Same issue is not possible if you run the mpiexec command directly as this is not python which try to capture the output message...
Your version oh MPICH2 should be ok

Sorry I didn't understand very well your instruction, I'm not an expert... Doing this, simulation went fine.

What should I do to make the usual commands work?

Thanks a lot for your help!

Did you just enter the command or did you type something like login/password on program request?

I just entered the command mpiexec in the temporary file created for the simulation. In my case :

C:\TELEMAC\MPICH2\bin\mpiexec.exe -wdir C:\Users\Hydrogen\Desktop\test_telemac\cas_init_2021-11-22-10h19min53s -localonly 28 C:\Users\Hydrogen\Desktop\test_telemac\cas_init_2021-11-22-10h19min53s\out_telemac2d.exe

It was another computation. The 1 and the 28 after -localonly are the numbers of processors used.

I'm aware of that but the idea is to try to launch a simulation which crash and immedaitly after run manually the same command (outside python) to understand where the problem is...
Another option should be to modify the process.py script at the line which crash to remoce the utf-8 and see the result
Hope this helps

When I run manually, I have this message at the beggining of the process.

Actually, I'm not really able to modify the process.py script.

OK
This is this message which generate the crash as it has some exotic characters...
No clear idea on the best solution to solve this problem except a modification of the python script to well manage this particular string which exist probably only on parallel windows and maybe only in french...
Could be interesting to test with an english windows version...
As a potential temporary solution, you could try to just change the two lines:
print(dat.decode('utf-8')) by print(dat) in process.py

Hope this helps
