open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

Hi everyone,

I´m currently trying to install TELEMAC-2D and used the automatic installer.
Installing the prerequisites went fine but the SVN checkout runs into a timeout.
I do have admin rights, there´s no proxy and the firewall should be fine (I can access the svn page via browser at least).

Attachend you can find the error message.
Any suggestions, what might be the problem?

PS: My general plan is to get the v7p3r1 working for now and then maybe upgrade to the latest v8p3r1.

Hi Chris,

The version you're trying to install is quite old and lots of changes have taken place since (e.g., moving to python3). The latest source code is available through a gitLab repos: gitlab.pam-retd.fr/otm/telemac-mascaret

I strongly recommend installing the latest version (v8p3r1) so your scripts would be up to date and you wouldn't run through problems that already have been solved in later releases.

thanks for your recommendation. I´ll try to install the latest version then. As I haven´t been working with gitlab sofar (and therefore wanted to do it with the automatic installer), just a few questions regarding the general procedure:
1.Download the latest source code from gitlab
and then
2.Follow the manual installation?

Hi Christof,
I managed to install Telemac by following this tutorial on youtube ().

But there is some modification to install the new version successfully:
change the version to the latest version
change python27 to python3 because the script is located in C:\opentelemac-mascaret\v8p2\scripts\python3
I use the latest Anaconda as my python library
