open TELEMAC-MASCARET The mathematically superior suite of solvers

Hi all,

I'm installing the latest version of Telemac2D.
I downloaded the executable " Automatic installation: opentelemac-windows" on opentelemac.org
When it asks me to select component, I let default checked boxes.



But doing this, only old telemac2d version was proposed ! (v6p2 and v7p0)


To help me, I watch the video "Installing TELEMAC - Windows 10" on youtube.
In this video, all boxes are checked, so I check everything !

And now, it proposed me to install the latest versions



I chose to install the latest version (v8p2). But i have an error ...





Just to try, I tried to instal v8p1 and v8p2 (it seems the software loves when everything is checked hahaha), I get the same error message but (it seems) for v8p2 only.

Have you an idea about this error ? How can I fix it ?

I continue to follow the video explanation.
I want to verify that Python config is ok, but it seems not :



I guess one of my paths is wrong, but I don't know which file to check.

Does anyone know?

Use v8p2, or better get v8p3 the latest version.

Use python3 instead of 2.7

The error you get is because of systelcfg in you command window:

i'm not able to install v8p3. i tried to install v8p2 but I get error message that I can't fix. These errors are the object of this topics.

I don't understand why I get some error message, so I can't fix it.

It seems v8p1 was correctly install on my computer, that's why I test to use it. But in fact it still problems too ...


I really don't know how to use Python 3 instead of Python 2.7. I chose to use the automatical installation because I miss a lot of knowledge regarding to programmation. But I want to improve myself.


I'm reading the post you advise me. If you have any document, video or other things that can help me, I interested :)

Moreover, for installation issues, you should better post in the dedicated section Installation then Windows version (if using Windows):
