Hi,

I was wondering when the upadte for the automatic installer for windows with python 3 and the new versions is coming out?

Is it worth waiting a bit or fighting with python 3 to work with my v8p2r1?

I was running telemac on v8p0r0 with Python 27, but I need to update to (at least) Version v8p2...but I can not get Python 3 to work and to compile with telemac....

Hi,

You should use python 3 as 2.7 is not maintained.

The best way to build Telemac on Windows is to use the help and script provided by the Wintel repository: gitlab.pam-retd.fr/otm/wintel

Why would you like to install a 2 years old version!
Install the latest one with the new automatic installer...

i need to execut GAIA and I found it's that version i should install but if a new version work it better for me.
I was looking for automatic installer coudln't find
and my question also can I use the result obtained from V8r0p0 with any version or not? Should I recreat evrything?

This is now the best/easiest way to build TELEMAC on Windows. Just follow the instructions.

Hi, I have a question.
I tried to follow the instruction on the link, and I got a "my work is done" message, so I guess the compiling was successful.
I tried to run a model using this command:
py telemac2d.py D:\xxx\xxx\xxx\xxx.cas --ncsize=2

I got feedback that says:
"Not able to find the configuration [gnu.dynamic] in the configuration file: C:\telemac\configs\systel.cfg"

can you help me with this issue?

Hi,

You must have done something wrong because the wintel batch script builds a "gnu.static" configuration, which works better on Windows than the "gun.dynamic" one. Either you have changed something in your pysource.gnu.bat file or you have used an old version of the wintel batch file.

To fix this, I suggest you first edit your pysource.gnu.bat file and replace the line "set USETELCFG=gnu.dynamic" with "set USETELCFG=gnu.static". You can then try to recompile TELEMAC with the following command:
If this does not work, you may have to delete everything and try to use the wintel batch again from scratch.

Also, if you are using the latest version of the wintel script, you do not need to use the py Launcher when using TELEMAC scripts, you should be able to run your calculations like this:
